National Board Mourns Passing of Former Member and Board Chairman
JAMES PARSELL
With deep sadness the National Board announces the death of former Utah safety director and National Board’s Board of Trustees’ member James Parsell. He was 84 years old.
Mr. Parsell joined the state of Utah in 1977 and became a National Board member in 1987. He served as board chairman from 1993-1996.
“The National Board was an important part of Mr. Parsell’s life, “explains National Board executive director David Douin. “His contributions as both a member and chairman were many. More important, his dedication to safety was second to none. We have lost a true friend and respected colleague.”
Mr. Parsell retired from the state of Utah in 1997 and was named an honorary member in 1998.
