“Utilization of Unqualified Source Material” is the latest online training course designed for the nuclear industry, specifically inspectors holding the N or NS Endorsement.  

This new course reviews code rules governing the utilization of unqualified source material (USM) techniques. Owner and N-type Certificate Holder responsibilities, code rules, scope statements, and certifications specific to unqualified source materials are discussed. 

An overview of why an entity may need to start with unqualified source material used in the nuclear industry is provided at the start of training. 

Training includes an audio component in several sessions so students will need access to either a headset or speakers to successfully complete those sessions.
