Michael Gerhart Announced as General Session Presenter

The National Board announces Michael Gerhart, national corporate accounts sales manager for Miura America Co., LTD, will address the 86th General Meeting May 8, 2017, in Anchorage, Alaska. His presentation is entitled, “Safer by Design: Building Intrinsic Safety into High-Pressure Steam Boiler Plants.”

Mr. Gerhart graduated from the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power Training Command and went on to serve as a mechanical operator and engineering laboratory technician aboard a Los Angeles class “fast attack” submarine.

He joined the boiler industry in 1999 as a manufacturer’s representative. Over the past 18 years, he has accumulated a wide range of pressure equipment experience with manufacturers, representatives, facility managers, engineers, and contractors, all of which has given him a unique perspective into regarding safe, reliable, and energy efficient boiler operations.
