New National Board Member Announced

Larry E. Parkey is the chief boiler inspector for the state of Indiana. Mr. Parkey began his career as a boiler and operator/engineer in 1972. He was employed with The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company from 1973 through 1980, working first as an electrical/mechanical inspector and then as an authorized inspector. He worked at the Commonwealth Edison Braidwood Station as a lead authorized nuclear inspector from 1980 to 1985 and then joined with Continental Insurance Company as a lost control representative. In 1990, he went to work for the state of Indiana as a level 4 inspector, and remained in that role until becoming chief inspector in October 2016.
