Melissa Wadkinson Announced as General Meeting Speaker
The National Board announces Melissa Michaud Wadkinson, P.E., of The Fulton Companies, will address the General Session at the 83rd General Meeting in Bellevue, Washington. Her presentation is entitled, Overview of Thermal Fluid Heaters.
Ms. Wadkinson is chief engineer for The Fulton Companies, a global manufacturer of heat transfer systems. Her 20 years of industry experience encompasses hot oil, steam, and hot water products and systems. Her responsibilities have included new product development, applications engineering, system design, technical training, quality assurance, and codes compliance. She is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 87 Committee on Recommended Practice for Thermal Fluid Heaters and the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) Subcommittee on Installation.
Ms. Wadkinson has also served on ASME committees and several subgroups, including CSD-1 (controls and safety devices for automatically-fired boilers), Section I Subgroup (general requirements), and Section IV (heating boilers). She holds a master of science in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and a master of business administration from Syracuse University.
