Elections to fill two positions on the NBBI Board of Trustees were held during the Members’ Meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, with two members winning reelection.
John Burpee, representing the state of Maine, was reelected to a three-year term as the first vice chair of the NBBI Board of Trustees. He is a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy with a degree in marine engineering. Burpee has served as an officer in the US Navy and worked for Hartford Steam Boiler as an engineering inspector before joining the state of Maine in 1999. He has previously served as a member at large and chair for the Board of Trustees, and has been a member for over 22 years, making him one of the longest-serving members of the National Board.
Eben Creaser, representing the province of New Brunswick, was reelected to a three-year term as a member at large of the NBBI Board of Trustees. He graduated from New Brunswick Community College with a degree in industrial mechanics and worked at New Brunswick Power Corporation (NB Power) for 18 years before joining the New Brunswick Department of Justice and Public Safety. This is his second reelection as a member at large.
