Tim Kennedy, Former Green Beret and MMA Fighter, to Deliver Keynote

The National Board is pleased to announce Tim Kennedy as the keynote speaker for the Opening Session of the 93rd General Meeting on May 12 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Kennedy is a retired U.S. Army Green Beret who enlisted on September 11, 2001, and served in some of the most challenging environments around the globe. Beyond his military career, Kennedy gained fame as a top-ranked mixed-martial arts fighter, competing with UFC and Strikeforce. His ability to combine physical prowess with mental toughness has earned him a reputation as a leader both in and out of the octagon.

In addition to his military and athletic accomplishments, Kennedy founded Sheepdog Response, an organization dedicated to training individuals in self-defense, situational awareness, and emergency preparedness. His passion for empowering others to overcome adversity and embrace leadership has made him a sought-after speaker worldwide. He is also the author of the best-seller Scars and Stripes. He has been featured on numerous TV shows, including History Channel’s “Hard to Kill” and “Hunting Hitler.”

He was one of four special operation operatives who flew into Kabul, Afghanistan, as a civilian volunteer to assist with the evacuation of American allies for Save Our Allies, a non-governmental organization.

Kennedy’s keynote address will focus on themes of perseverance, adaptability, and the importance of maintaining peak performance under pressure – qualities that resonate with the challenges and demands of those in the boiler and pressure vessel industry.
