Mark Lower to Discuss Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Impact on Pressure Safety
The National Board welcomes Mark Lower, Program Manager at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, as a speaker at the 90th General Meeting on Monday, May 2. His talk will highlight the lab’s impact and influence on pressure safety.
Mr. Lower has worked in operations and energy-related research and design for the past 30 years. He has over 20 years of experience with ASME Code in design, analysis, and fabrication of pressure equipment. He has also performed accident investigations for the US Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.
Lower serves as the vice chair of the ASME BPV VIII Standards Committee and is a member of other Section VIII committees. He also is a member of the National Board Advisory Committee representing boiler and pressure vessel users.
