The physical offices of the National Board continue to be closed to the public until further notice.
5/4/2020
Beginning the week of May 4, 2020, and in compliance with the State of Ohio’s order to allow general office environments to reopen, the National Board is slowly and cautiously returning “essential employees” to the office. Essential employees are defined as those individuals who must be in the physical office to complete their work and/or keep basic operations functioning.
The Pressure Relief Testing Laboratory will resume testing, while the majority of National Board employees will continue to work from home through the month of May.
The National Board continues to operate. Employees have access to receive phone calls and check email, and will respond to all correspondence as quickly as possible.
The physical offices of the National Board are closed to the public until further notice.
4/9/2020
On Thursday, April 2, the State of Ohio extended the stay-at-home order through the month of April. In accordance with this mandate, National Board offices will now remain closed to the public until Monday, May 4.
The National Board continues to operate. Employees are working from home and have access to receive phone calls and check email. The National Board will respond to all correspondence as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

The National Board/ASME General Meeting, which was scheduled to be held May 10-15, 2020, has been canceled. All registrants will be notified by email. Click here for a statement from the National Board.

The Governor of Ohio has ordered all non-essential businesses to remain closed from midnight, March 23rd until April 6th. All National Board physical offices are closed to the public during this time.
As noted in the original message below, the National Board will continue to operate but with some limitations. National Board employees are now equipped to work at home, and have access to receive phone calls and check email and will respond to your inquiries as quickly as possible. We ask for your patience as we strive to maintain normal work flow and schedules while working remotely.

Based on recommendations and guidelines from the CDC, WHO, and local, state, and federal agencies to limit the spread of COVID-19, National Board employees are working from home effective Friday, March 20, through Monday, April 13, 2020. All National Board offices are closed to the public during this time. Offices are expected to reopen on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
The National Board will continue to operate but with some limitations. Most employees will have access to receive phone calls and check email and will respond to your inquiries as quickly as possible. We ask for your patience as we strive to maintain normal work flow and schedules while working remotely.
National Board classroom training courses are cancelled through April. Online training is still available. Contact training@nationalboard.org with any questions.
The National Board will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and its impact on our operations, and post updates as necessary at nationalboard.org.
