ale E. Ross Retires from Job as Chief Boiler Inspector
Dale E. Ross retired on October 31, 2009, from his position as chief boiler inspector representing the Province of New Brunswick. A member since 1979 and holding Commission No. 8486 with “A,” “B,” and “NS” endorsements, Mr. Ross had the most years of service among active National Board members.
Mr. Ross had worked for the Department of Public Safety, Technical Inspection Branch, since 1975. In 1979 he was promoted to chief boiler inspector. In 1988, after a departmental reorganization, he relinquished the role to John Fowles, but assumed it again in 1989 after Mr. Fowles’ retirement.
Mr. Ross served for many years on the CSA B51 Technical Committee as well as a term on the National Board Board of Trustees.
