The National Board Synopsis of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Laws, Rules and Regulations is a compilation of jurisdiction laws, rules, and regulations set forth in a concise, easy-to-read format. It features the prevailing requirements, detailed contact information, and regulatory history for each jurisdiction.
The data herein was collected and assembled under the auspices of the chief inspection officer listed on his or her jurisdictional synopsis. Only those synopses personally verified by the jurisdictional authorities have been included. Each has been reviewed and approved by its respective chief inspection officer for accuracy and content.
Users are advised some references to legislative text have been rewritten to clarify certain regulations and make phrases and terminology more uniform. Additionally, some references have been edited to remove redundancies and ambiguities.
Users are reminded each synopsis is only a brief outline or distillation of a specific jurisdiction’s laws, rules and regulations, and is also subject to change.
