Committee on Qualifications for Inspection Updates
The National Board’s Board of Trustees met on April 30, 2022 at the 90th General Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana and took action on the following documents.
The revised documents above were approved and are now available.
The 2023 edition of the above publication was approved and is now going through the pre-publication process. An early copy will be sent to the jurisdictions and AIA credential contacts around September 2022 with an implementation document that will include a list of the major changes. This edition becomes permissive January 1, 2023 and mandatory July 1, 2023. Stay tuned for an upcoming BULLETIN article about this new edition.
The Committee on Qualifications for Inspection has extended inquiries RCI 21-01 and RCI 19-02 to October 31, 2022.
New Committee on Qualifications for Inspection Member
In addition to the actions mentioned above, the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Rob Troutt, appointed Dr. Parvan Chavdarov as a member of the Committee on Qualifications for Inspection (CQI) for a three-year term. Dr. Chavdarov is the ASME Services Manager/ Technical Manager – Accredited Services at LRQA.
