 Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable Specialist

SUMMARY

This role requires the ability to balance between supporting customer relationships and ensuring timely payments are received. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organization are essential for success in this position. Regular account maintenance and proactive customer correspondence will be required in order to maintain accurate information while providing outstanding customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answering incoming calls and maintaining accounting email box regarding customers’ billing/account inquiries
  • Identifying and resolving customer accounts with overdue payments
  • Contacting customers via email and phone to address outstanding balances
  • Communicating regularly with customers to maintain accurate and updated information on client accounts, including primary point of contact, address and special billing notes
  • Reviewing and monitoring of assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
  • Researching account disputes and billing discrepancies
  • Processing customer payments, account adjustments and refunds where appropriate
  • Documenting daily collections activity
  • Backup to Billing and Cash Payments as needed
  • Maintaining accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Generating monthly customer statements
  • Assisting in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

Two (2) to three (3) years experience in Accounts Receivables and/or Collections

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent Excel skills
  • ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Great Plains and Aptify
  • Principles of office procedures and protocols

  • Experience as an Authorized Inspector and Supervisor (Current National Board AI Commission with B Endorsement preferred)
  • Working knowledge of the design rules of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Sections I, IV, or VIII items
  • General knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel components and operations

 Executive Assistant

Executive Assistant

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant who will be responsible for providing administrative, secretarial, and general office support to the Executive Director and the Assistant Executive Director–Administrative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains the daily schedule of the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director–Administrative
  • Travel Manager: Coordinates activities of the organization’s corporate travel, aiding assigned staff travel arrangers as needed
  • Provides guidance to NBBI Members regarding policies and procedures
  • Issues online training codes for Members
  • Makes airline travel arrangements for Members
  • Coordinates lodging and travel accommodations for Board of Trustees meetings and others as assigned
  • Maintains adequate supply of Member service awards
  • Distributes meeting notifications, agendas and minutes of Board of Trustees and Membership meetings
  • Maintains essential databases including Members, Board of Trustees and Advisory Committee, Insurance Company Directors, ASME Directors, and communicates revisions as appropriate
  • Maintains current listing of all National Board forms in both electronic and hard copy
  • Maintains records of committee membership, reports term expirations to the Executive Director
  • Serves as custodian of certain confidential and other corporate official documents and records
  • Coordinates various staff events and other meetings, including catering, travel, and entertainment
  • Performs updates to the Members’ section of the website
  • Provides notification to the membership of new Members
  • Administers the organization’s scholarship program
  • Provides assistance to callers, composes correspondence, routes incoming mail, and performs other administrative and clerical duties
  • Reviews meeting minutes from Assistant Executive Director–Administrative and maintains and updates all Board of Trustees policies

EDUCATION

Business school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) years’ experience providing administrative assistance on a director level or above
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in business practices and office procedures
  • Personal computer and/or word processing applications

ABILITY TO:

 Senior Full Stack Developer - REMOTE

Senior Full Stack Developer - REMOTE

The National Board is looking for a Senior Full Stack developer to join its team in the development of a new inspection workflow support system for its clients. The Senior Full Stack developer role is responsible for writing and testing code as well as other software development activities related to the development and maintenance of this enterprise system. The National Board is developing a new industry solution that is not hindered by legacy technology or existing software, and the Senior Full Stack developer will be part of a growing software engineering team. The core solution will be a web-based, SaaS solution that will include a mobile application for field use.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on software development experience with a major subset of web technologies such as, REST API multi-tiered solutions, HTML 5 / CSS, and interacting with various Web Servers

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working as part of an Agile Development team, drives feature implementation from planning to release
  • Maintains and modifies programs; makes approved changes by amending program specifications, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes
  • Evaluates complex interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part
  • Confers with product management team and fellow development team members to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolves questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls
  • Writes and maintains programming documentation
  • Understands and implements role-specific information security access and responsibilities
  • Ensures safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies
  • Reads, understands, and agrees to security policies, and completes all annual security and compliance training

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Four (4) + years of full-stack development experience creating web applications using Node.JS, Angular/React, bootstrap, responsive design, JS, ES6, HTML, CSS
  • Hands-on software development experience with a major subset of: Web applications, REST API, JWT token, OAuth/SSO authentication
  • Strong experience with Object Oriented, MVC or other design patterns
  • Strong experience with relational and SQL databases (MySQL, Aurora RDS, No SQL)
  • Experience with Python, PHP
  • Experience serving as the lead developer for critical applications

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Data management technologies (MDM, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Science)
  • Systems security, data protection and data privacy

Cal/OSHA is seeking Associate Safety Engineers to support our Pressure Vessel (PV) Unit. The PV Unit helps ensure boilers and pressure vessels in California are safe for workers and the public.

The PV Unit is responsible for the inspection of boilers, air tanks and LPG tanks throughout California. PV Associate Safety Engineers conduct safety surveys, accident investigations, consultations, perform inspections at companies that manufacture and repair boilers and pressure vessels to insure Code compliance and other journey level assignments associated with PV engineering.
