New Basic Mathematics Online Course Now Available
National Board Training has added a new online course, Basic Mathematics: Operations and Formulas, to its roster of online courses. It joins the ASME Code Reading course as pre-work to the A and IC courses.
The course is based on the basic math skills necessary when working with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Topics include calculations (order of operations, formulas, rounding numbers, and Pi), basic shapes (definitions and calculations), squares and rectangles (area and perimeter), circles (area and circumference), and triangles (side lengths, area, and span “d”).
Practice problems are provided throughout the course for self-assessment of material and students can print a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course. The online course is $99 and available to anyone who wishes to enroll.
