We Will Meet Again!
The General Meeting of the National Board and ASME
While May typically marks the gathering of hundreds of boiler and pressure vessel inspectors and industry experts from around the world, the 89th National Board/ASME General Meeting must wait a little longer.
Although the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 meeting, the National Board remains hard at work preparing for the 2021 General Meeting. Until we meet again, our sights are set on Scottsdale, Arizona, and a safe, healthy, and celebratory gathering at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.
Scheduled for May 10–14, 2021, the nearly 90-year tradition of the General Meeting will be headquartered at a AAA Five Diamond resort known for its lush outdoor spaces, Sonoran Desert scenery, world-class service, and TPC Scottsdale – home to two legendary golf courses and the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
John Ratzenberger, star of Cheers and John Ratzenberger’s Made in America, has rebooked for 2021 and will join us in Scottsdale to serve as the keynote. And so has Whose Line is It Anyway? stars Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, who will bring their hilarious, audience-inspired improv comedy to the Wednesday Evening Banquet.
While we can’t be together this May, take a look back at the 2019 Conference in Review, and click here to revisit past General Meeting presentations. You can even look ahead to 2022, when the National Board will travel to New Orleans.
We look forward to seeing you next year in Scottsdale; until then, our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by this virus, and our gratitude goes out to the healthcare workers, first responders, military, and all essential workers and businesses that are on the frontlines of this pandemic.
